Quick note...

I finally started the professional blog... So hard to write some serious notes...

I'm thinking about new bio for all my artists... No choice cuz the year is almost over, some bands are changing, others are starting new projects, new artists are coming... That makes a lot ! But, it doesn't matter !

Two new artists, one bio is almost done... Something or someone is inspiring me those days, that's great !

Another quick note. We're supposed to have rain since a week, and still nothing. Yesterday was pretty awful.. Blue sky, clouds, hot, cold, heavy, and no rain. But birds singing everywhere.
I looked through the window and choose to think about the 100 things that makes me happy ! (appearing on my Day Zero list !)

But now, back to work. I have to register iMMa's gig on several websites... The gig is in 22 days, I miss different informations, everything's fine ! (but, can't wait to be at this gig ! As usual !!)

Welcome...

One year ago, I started this blog. And because I didn't want to post too much videos and music, I started another one about music and only music.

Because I didn't know how to keep it alive, I choose to close it. Two blogs, it was too hard.
And ... I decided to open a new blog. Yes. But this new blog will be in French only and will be serious, cuz it will be my professional blog.

I can admit it, I don't know how to do it. This one, it was so hard to find the right colours and settings... And it's just a blog... The professional one is a blog because right now, I can't pay for a website. One day maybe... but not now !

So, in a minute, I will click on "create a new blog" and so be it !
Soon I may post you a link to the blog...

But first... just a quiet song before being back to the reality of booking !

Embraceable You - by Ella Fitzgerald

One of the best song ever !
I just wonder how it is to have a romance on this song
(for those who don't know, I'm in a very good mood since Monday, I don't know why, and I don't care about ridiculous things and don't care about the clichés ! I'm happy, feel good, want to say that I deserve it !)

mercredi 25 mai 2011

The next gig will be....

iMMa on June 21st, in Versailles.
I'm stressed ! Really ! Cuz I have a lot of things to do !
I hope people will come. I hope that journalists will come too...

I heard new artists were coming ... So... I will have more gigs to book. That's great. Just need to know who the bands are... ... Finger crossed for other good news !! (only good news since few days, today, I feel soooo good, it's wonderful !!)

One of the best movie ever !

When I say to my friends that I'd love to move to the UK, they usually answer
"Why ?"
Ok, the weather is not that good, and the food, compared to the french one, may be one of the worst I ever ate ! But whatever.

I went to the UK few times. I love London, such a magical city. Leeds seems very nice too (sorry, I only saw the train station), Bradford is cute, and so is Harrogate.
Edinburgh is awesome and I know that I want to come back to Glasgow.
And... I loved Ireland.

But, UK is not just geography. I love british accent, and most of all, I love british humour.

My english teacher were not so good during my almost 10 years of english. And, I don't know why, they were showing us only one movie : Dead Poet's Society.
I love that movie, but, every time I watching it, it's like I was back to school.

One of my friend watched Monty Python and Holy Grail. I was soooo jealous. And when she said she didn't like the movie because it was not funny, I thought "OMG!!"

For me, this movie is one of the best movie ever. I know it by heart, but always laugh every second !!!

Yesterday was the closing of Cannes Festival, and I was happy to see that Ryan Gosling new movie won an award. So, I was joking with my friend Pauline about him, and I was supposed to watch one of his movie last night. Impossible to choose. So I decide I will watch The Notebook tonight.
Unfortunately, my dear Maggie chose to post the scene of the Knights of the Ni on Facebook.
So, I changed my mind and watched Holy Grail tonight, laughing, as usual !!!

Here is a gift for you. My two favourite moments in the movie !!!

Challenge !

I realized I needed challenges in my life.

First, even if I'm not bilingual and may be easily afraid, I keep applying to job offers in the UK. I wanted London or Glasgow, now, I don't care. If I see an interesting offer, I apply.
I think that I need to take 5 minutes to write a good covering letter !

Few days ago, I received an invitation for a professional meeting in Versailles. So, next month, I will share a drink and business cards with a lot of unknown people, talking about my job... If only I could have interesting opportunities.

Few weeks ago, my friend Matt posted some new pictures (but still no news about Versailles' photoshoot...) and I told him he should think about exhibitions. He answered, joking, "maybe you could arrange an exhibition for me out in Paris..."
You know what... I'm thinking about that since few days... Even if I know nothing about photo's exhibitions !
I just hope that one of that challenges will bring me something...
My great-uncle's news were not very good. He's back to the hospital.
My great-aunt began chemo today. We hope it was good...

xx

(still haven't watch the Eurovision ... this week-end I hope, between two emails and Skype conference... ...)

Tonight I realize that...

Muse is more than a good band !

I was at La Salle Pleyel tonight with my parents to listen to the concert-version of the Opera "Samson et Delila" by Camille Saint-Saens.

Honestly, for me, Camille Saint-Saens it's Le Carnaval des Animaux, and especially these arias :

The Swan
(almost a year since that post...)

The Aquarium
Mostly known as ...

The theme of the Rose in Disney's Beauty and Beast !

And...

This one !
The final ! And the brilliant animé made by Disney for Fantasia 2000 !!

So, tonight, well no, last week-end when Dad talked about tonight, I discovered that Camille Saint Saens didn't compose only this brilliant masterpiece ! He also composed Operas. Especially, "Samson et Dalila", the one we heard tonight.

I check the program from the last page to the first one. Always by the last because it's where you find the composition of the Orchestra. Since I worked with the Orchestre Lamoureux, I like to check the names, just like that. Tonight I knew one of the horn players. He plays sometimes with Lamoureux. It was fun to see his name, and them, see him on stage.
Then, second surprise. I read the resumé of the opera and see that one of the most famous aria from the second act is called "Mon Coeur s'ouvre à ta voix". First reaction "funny, it's like one of Muse's song..."

First act, well, I slept a little bit. Second act... The aria. It woke me up, I was singing the lyrics cuz Muse used the aria for the song "I Belong to You / Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix" ! It was awesome !

Mon Coeur S'Ouvre A Ta Voix - by Placido Domingo & Olga Borodina

Back home, I checked the Resistance booklet :
"I Belong to You (+ Mon Coeur S'Ouvre A Ta Voix) from 2:56-3:52 features parts of "Mon Coeur S'Ouvre A Ta Voix" from the Opera "Samson and Delilah" composed by Camille Saint Saens, re-arranged by M. Bellamy, performed by Muse. !!

Matthew Bellamy, I love you !!

A night with ...

First, I'd like to say to my non-french-speaking readers that I'm sorry cuz this post will be in French... Promise, if I find a minute, I will translate it !!

Mail 1 ... rien...

WTF ?

20'45, on arrive enfin à Montansier.

Ain't no sunshine ...

When (he’s) gone ?

Well, no !

Ok, last time I posted, I was bad, really bad. And because my aunt’s biopsy was yesterday and that nobody knows the results, we are still worried. If it’s a cancer, we can loose her around 3 or 6 months…

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon with my friend Charlotte and met the wonderful Milo. OMG, this baby boy is soooooo cute !!!! And Charlotte is a so beautiful Mum !!!!!

Today was a good day. Maybe because it’s a thursday and because I like thursdays.
I know that W. and Jack are in London together. And because some things change about the next gig I spent the morning wondering “call or not”. And finally, no call. I had the time to work on iMMa’s press release.

This afternoon, Mum and I left for Paris because we were invited to the opening of an exhibition. A hat exhibition by the French creator Sylvie Laroche. OMG !!! I wanted to buy everything !!!

The one on the poster was black and pink. The pink part was looking like a fan, and the black part was just black feathers (sorry I forgot the name of the bird !!). My favourite was a green one, dark green with silk, cotton and peacock’s feather. AWESOME !!

After that, we met my Dad and went for diner. He made a reservation to a restaurant near his office. He didn’t say where we were going but, Mum and I guessed it easily.

We had diner at Le Quinzième by Cyril Lignac. Cyril Lignac is one of the best French chef we have ! He won a reality show about cooking few years ago, wrote some books, opened few restaurants and is awesome. My Dad goes to this one all the time because it’s a nice place to have professional lunch, it was the first time for me.

The food was just awesome, and the team adorable ! What I loved the most was how they built it. One of the room is near the kitchen, and the walls of the kitchen are glassed walls, so you can see everything in the kitchen. It’s unbelievable !!!!

We started with champagne because this time, my Parents have my birthday gift !!

On April 5th (my bday), my Mum said that she was sorry but my gift wasn’t ready…. They were working on it since December, but it was not ready… Believe me I had no idea of what the gift will be…

Tonight, Mum gave me a little box. Just seeing the box, I thought about a ring, and thought “It can’t be the one I saw at the antiques dealer… my parents are not that crazy…” I opened it and was in love.
A “simple” ring, white gold and an amethyst. Just adorable ! Then, my Mum told me who created it and loved it more !

The guy who made my ring is Quentin, one of my sister’s best friend. He’s thinking about jewelry since Junior High (he’s 28 now…) and is sooooo talented. It was the first time he was working on a ring from A to Z ! It’s the best ring I ever saw !!!

No, I’m not engaged ! But you know what ?! It will be hard for my fiancé to find the right ring ! Maybe that I’ll give him Quentin’s number ! It will be easier !!!

(PS : I wrote the post yesterday, but blogger was out of order... so I post only today !
About my great aunt, we had the results this morning... Liver's cancer... Hard. )

Un malheur ne vient jamais seul*

I think that today was worse than yesterday. I hope tomorrow will be better.

I still have my four grand-parents. All of them. I look at them and think they are all fine, good health, alive.
From Dad, my Grand-Dad doesn't have a lot of family. My Grand-Ma lost a lot of her brothers and sisters this last years... Most of them from cancers.
From Mum, my Grand-Dad is the eldest, and he has three brothers and a sister. My Grand-Ma has two sisters, both are alive, but the husband of one of them died early this year. It was hard to hear the news. Even if we were not that close to this Great-Uncle, it was hard.

My Grand-Dad is 85. There are 60 years between he and I. I love him.
Then, it's his brother, Pierre. And André. And Jeanine. And Claude.
Claude is the youngest, and the father of my wonderful Godmother.

Few months ago, my Great-Uncle Claude went to the hospital to be operated of the cataract. It went well for few weeks, and now he has a lot of problem. His eyelids keep falling, he has a lot of trouble with his vision, the optic nerves are suffering.
He went back to the hospital, the doctor gave him some medics. Claude cannot take it because his body rejects it. He will have a new one soon. But if his body keeps rejecting the medics, the troubles could affect his lungs, and he can die.

Last time we had news was around Easter. My Godmother said that he was really tired and lost a lot of weight.
It's terrible.

My Great-Uncle Pierre, aka Pierrot, and his wife will celebrate their 50th anniversary this Summer.
We all hope they will because she was hospitalized in emergency this week-end. Doctors don't know what she has. What they know is that the problems come from her pancreas and liver. She lost a sister from a pancreas cancer. It was really fast, and we were all shocked ! She will have a biopsy tomorrow.
We all hope that the results will be ok... Visibly, doctors are a little bit afraid...

I still have my four Grand-Parents, and feel really lucky. Hearing those bad news was really hard !

Walking back home this afternoon, I met a friend, Caroline. We were scout-leaders together few years ago. It's nice to meet her and talk. She announced me a very bad news too today.
One morning, in March, she woke up and realized that she was not seeing anymore from one of her eyes. She went to the hospital with her parents and the doctor said that she had a tumour on the optic nerve. She lost her eye. Spent a lot of days at the hospital, seeing doctors. She told me she will be back to the hospital tomorrow for surgery, again. The doctor will try to extract a part of the tumour to analyse it.

She told me she was afraid, but not that much because she had faith. She knows that the doctors will do their best to help her. She said that she will not be angry if she stays one-eyed. She told me she will try to not cry.

Writing this post now makes me realize that cancelling Josh's gig on June 21st is not so terrible. Some people are living hardest than me.
At least, I can try to joke with my friends. And think about what Caroline told me earlier "I will pray for you in my hospital room cuz you deserve good things in your life."

Seesaw - by Cocoon

Tomorrow, I will try to think about other things. No work, no hospital, just the pleasure to meet the great Milo, and maybe hearing that another baby is born (Valentine, a daughter from my parent's friends entered to the maternity hospital this morning.... Tonight, the little boy wasn't born...)
I will joke, I will laugh. I know I will.

Tell me...

Tell Me - Cocoon

It's all I want right now, that people tell me what I need to hear !
Sorry to say that today's post won't be like the others. I have a lot of work and so many problems with my next gig, and I learned that I may lose two people in my family. A great uncle and a great aunt....
So, things are not very very good these days....

"Only dumb never change their mind"

When I came back home last week after the tour, I had to surprise to hear a celebration in my neighbours' garden... The eldest daughter was getting engaged. Pff... Stupid idea.... ?

In Versailles, I think there are maybe 20 churches, so every week-end, you can be sure you will hear the bells because of a wedding.
I went outside this afternoon and saw 3 weddings.

I'm 25 since a month, and ok, this post is old.

A lot of my Junior High / High School / other studies are getting married, having babies. I don't.

But.

I met a lot of wonderful friends, a lot of great men. And, ok, now I like watching wedding dresses' stores. I saw one this afternoon and saw two beautiful dresses. I'd like to try one once.

.... Just need to find the guy....

And by this post, I would like to say CONGRATS to my dearrrr Zakky Boy who's gonna be a Dad soon ! And to Giacomo too ! Damn ! Two of my artists are soon-to-be Dads ! Need to find a lover !!!!

After-tour Trauma...

My first tour was almost a year ago...
This first tour made me realize that maybe I should not crush for all my artists...
Impossible !
I follow those artists because I believe in their talent, in their music ! ... And because they're cut, ok I'm a single girl !

Remember that old old post ?

Well... I had the same trauma last night.

Last week, I was checking my luggages and train hours before picking them at the station on Wednesday morning.
When I went back home on Sunday, I was strong, didn't cry, and went to sleep around 22:00.
Monday (so, yesterday), chat with W., he was thanking me for what I've done (he couldn't be there this time), and at this moment, I cried.
Yesterday, I was still tired, but less than Sunday. Went to sleep around midnight. And... woke up almost every hour.

Why ?

I was so sure the guys were all at home and they wanted hugs. My God !!!!!

What's different between my first tour and this one ?
Well ... nothing change. I still have crush for my artists and care so much about them.

Tomorrow will be Wednesday. I have to think about all the things I can for the next gig (cannot talk about a tour yet because... well... somebody's not back home yet, so, still tired, and not ready to talk about it !).

Thing I'm sure, the next gig will be on June 21st, in MY CITY, with at least two of my artists.
Thing I'm not sure : who's the third one... (depends of the post...) ... there is ONE guy I want... but no answer...

Anyway, a last night with early bed time, then, back to cover letter, gig ideas, and book shopping...
=> I need this one !
=> And maybe this one too ! Mine is from 2008, too old !

As goodnight song, I choose this one.

The after-tour post !

Remember the post where I talked about the week-post ?
I was writing "to be sure to clear my mind, having the right questions in my head, and enjoy every second with them," ...
Well, did I really clear my mind, yes and no. But, for sure, here is what I can tell :

#1 : When I really like somebody, I'm terribly jealous.
I mean, there were 8 guys, just for me during a week. My job was to protect them, maybe some more than others, protect them from the nasty french girls. So yes, I had a lot of enemies during the week, and I don't care. I kept all my boys for me.

#2 : When I really like somebody, I'm terribly jealous.
I mean, I don't want to share. Everything started because after an internship I heard about a professional meeting. I went there with a friend and met artists. Meetings that will change my life. I always shared everything, always wanted to be the assistant of. Maybe because I was afraid of doing it by myself. Month after month, I learned a lot, and don't want to share anymore. Last time I shared work on an artist, I lost it. And it broke my heart. So, I'm sorry to say that NO, I won't share work with somebody else (in my country, of course)

#3 : Is money so important when you can live your dream.
Ok, for the moment, I win no money with my company. I just have some refunds. But, it's so wonderful to work on events like that. A lot of pressure, of course, for a great night, or more. Next gig : June 21st. Artists ? Almost the same... There is just one guy I need to convince !

#4 : I need business card, and, oh God, that reminds me I had to send a copy of contacts we had on Thursday. So, point #4 : I need business card !

#5 : I should go to Rome to see them.

#6 : I finally cried, this morning. When he said thank you. I cried cuz I was happy, sad, and tired. Can't wait to send them the details for June !

Back from the tour !

Hello people !
I'm finally back home, after a short tour of 4 days. Short but amazing !
Here is my loong week-post !

24.04 - Am I …

Next week, at this moment, i may be asleep. And sad. Really sad.
Jack is leaving around 06:00 to catch a stupid plane for Dublin at 09:00 at Paris Beauvais. And Josh and double John are leaving around 11:00 for the Eurostar at 12:30.

I’m scared !

We will be back to Versailles tomorrow, Sunday night. Then, lazy Monday and work on Tuesday. By work I mean, writing new cover letter, trying to find new offers… and, yes, working on the last details for Wednesday like calling Ivan for the merchandising, calling Alfred for the keyboard, and calling Christophe for the Thursday meeting.

Oh God I’m scared ! The week is gonna be so short, and I want to do soooo many things with them !!

Am I ?
Please tell me why I have so many scenari in my head with this guy. I can’t dream about any kind of future with him except work. I would love to accept feeling, but no. I can’t, we’re working together and that’s all. Plus, I have all those dreams because, because I’m really excited. 6 months I’m working on that gig, I’m really excited !

25.04 - How can't I be ?

We came back home yesterday late afternoon. So today is lazy Monday and then back to "work".
Jack is still in Amsterdam. He's coming back today... well, if he can find his wallet... Losing a wallet, just before taking a plane ! What an idea !! Believe me, there's no-one like him ! He's awesome ! Really !
More seriously, I hope he will be able to go back to London, because... after that, he needs to come to Paris !

26.04 - Never chat after the beer !

Today, I checked :
- money with Erika
- keyboard with Erika and Alfred
- merchandising with Ivan, Jack and Erika
- last minute poster printing with Jack.

I also found what clothes I will wear tomorrow night and how to do my luggage. Maybe tonight I'll be able to sleep ! ... Thinking about those who have to wake up at 3:30AM...
Can't wait to be tomorrow !!!!!!!!

27.04 - Oh God !

The Eurostar was late. I was late. So many luggages, I run through the station after Ivan's phone call... I cannot be late. I arrive at the meeting point for the Eurostar, check the plateform and see "One hour delay" ! No WAY !
I spent the hour with Ivan, talking about everything and nothing, and then they all arrived. Will was the first... They looked so tired, but it was soooo good to see them again !

After a little nap (well, only Josh slept), we left the apartment (20m2 for 10 people, rock'n'roll !) to grab some food. On our way, we lost Josh, double-John and Matthew (the photographer)

A little bit of shopping and back to the apartment. Nap again for almost everybody. I left. I don't want naps, I don't care about naps. I want signs ! Not smile, blink or alcohol, no, sign, a real one. A real one that can helps me to know where I'm going.

So yes, I'm a little bit sad.
It's 16:52 now. I'm having a coffee next our apartment. I'll go back there in a minute before taking them to the venue, soundcheck and gig !

28.04 - Life on Tour

After my little coffee, I went back to the apartment. Boys get dressed and we left for the souncheck.
There were so happy to play at Le Yono. And the team there is soo sweet !
Unfortunately we sold only 38 tickets, and, of course, none of my friend came, as usual (maybe next time I won't waste my time to try to make them come !); but the night was awesome !
I didn't see iMMa's set because I was selling the tickets, just before Josh's set, I closed the selling, and went down to see the gig.
No, I didn't cry. Yes, I smiled and looked at everybody realizing they were all spending a great night.

We left Le Yono around 2:00AM to go to the Guiness Tavern. Arrived there, they changed their mind : the J's and Matt wanted to go to Pigalle, Will and Joe were thinking about their 5:00AM wake up for the Eurostar...
I took the guys to Pigalle and went back to the apartment after checking they had address, code and phone number to come back.

I tried to sleep, but impossible. And, around 5:00AM, Joe's alarm clock rang. The first one were leaving. They left, I tried to sleep, and 20 minutes later, phone call from Matt and the J's. They needed me to open the door. I wanted to see other signs, and finally didn't. We were all tired, and all a little bit drunk.
Now it's 11:18. I'm enjoying a breakfast at Starbucks. In 1:30 we will take the train to Versailles. But first, I have to pick them up at the apartment and see who's alive !
Sunday will be hard !

29.04 - Sorry for your loss.

The boys were really late yesterday, so, we left really really late ! Plus, it was raining a lot ! First time since almost a month ! Bye bye Photoshoot !
But we had to go to Versailles to a meeting at the Royale Factory and then for the radio interview.
But, waiting for the train at La Défense, Josh had a phone call from London. His beloved Grand-Father was dying. It was so hard to see him in pain.
Arrived in Versailles, we changed our plans and stopped at home to give him a little rest and find a solution. And by solution, I mean, find new train tickets for him and the boys, cancelling the interviews, and the second gig.
He went to the church, stood there a little moment and came back with his decision.
So we left for the interview, and went back to the apartment.

Josh left this morning (29.04), it was so hard to see him leave. And it was so hard to announce that the gig was cancel.
Now, the boys (double-John, Matt, and Keith - a friend of Matt-) are going to the Catacombs, and I'm going to the Eiffel Tower with Jack, before going to the venue... and see my enemies...
(ok, by enemies I mean people who seem to close ...)

30.04 / 01.05  - Lay Down Beside Me

The boys didn't visit the Catacombs because it was too late. So, they went to the Trocadéro.
Jack and I didn't go to the Eiffel Tower cuz he needed to work, and then, it was too late. (my opinion, I think that we could have the time to go there...) So we went to the venue, La Bellevilloise.
Grabbing some food first and then spending a nice time there. We left around 22'00 cuz we were tired. We just needed to find the key, somewhere at the Trocadéro. We went, the guys were drinking beers, we took one, John T. disappeared and reappeared almost dead because of Vodka. So we said goodbye to the last metro and stood.
He was so drunk that it was impossible for us to take a cab. We finally went home around 4:00 and slept.
Around 12:00, the boys left for the Eurostar. Another goodbyes. Jack and I tried to clean a little bit the place and we left with Keith for food. We ate in Quartier Latin, Jack said that Notre Dame looked like the picture, I said no, we went, he said "ok, it's better in real life". Boys !
After that, we went back to the venue for the second day of the event Cultural Behavior. It was so hard to see "cancelled" near Josh Beech & the Johns. But we enjoyed our time there. Back home around 2:00AM, Jack tried to sleep a little bit.
First wake up at 5:00AM to help him to catch a cab to go to Porte Maillot for then bus and plane. 30 minutes later, we were saying goodbye.
Back home, I tried to sleep a little bit more. Second wake up at 12:00 by the girl from the apartment. It was really time for Keith and I to leave.

A last coffee together and last goodbyes. Time to go back home.
I walked the Rue de Rivoli, I wanted to take the subway at Pyramides, but, blocked by security guys. I forgot that on May 1st (so today), Jean Marie Le Pen always come to make a speech near Joan of Arc statue. I should have sing God Save the Queen !

I never cried when they were all leaving. Now, I'm waiting for the train at La Défense, where Josh had his phone call, maybe tears will arrive before the train.
