Tadaaaaah

A méditer donc !

Et comme on dit chez We are knitters :

Oopsy

I'm so sorry, it's been a while since my last post !!!

Sunday Stealing

1. What is your all-time favourite movie costume ?
What a very good question... I want to say anything wore by Audrey Hepburn. She's soooo classy in every movie !! If you don't accept my question, well, Ellen Page's costume in Super, even if I don't like the movie !

Or Louise Bourgoin's outfits in Adèle Blanc-Sec...

None. Don't like the idea of remake...

3. Name your favourite femme fatale.

Maybe the scene in the stairs in History of Violence. But I love Viggo Mortensen, he's an amazing actor, but this scene is still ... well... it's the one I'll chose. (but the movie is awesome !)

There is also the entire movie Aviator from the moment Leonardo DiCaprio turns really crazy...
I didn't like the movie, too long, but Leonardo DiCaprio was more than awesome in the movie !!

Or the elevator scene in Drive... I mean, Ryan Gosling is not a violent guy !!!!

11. On the flip side, think of one really good scene / performance / movie from a performer that you truly loathe.

The Rain of Castamere

The Rains of Castamere by The National

I'm so into Game of Thrones. I'm about to start reading the book, but so afraid about what I may discover !! I mean, I don't know if you're watching or not, but, OMG what was that, the episode 09 of 2nd season ???!!!! Soooooo afraid of who may be the next to die !!!!

The story is awesome, and the cast at least as good as SOA's one (ok, the same. Unknown actors for the majority, except one or two, and brilliant new actors !)

Anyway, this song is the hymn of the House of the Lannister, and it's a beautiful one !! Enjoy it !

Probably...

one of the cutest scene ever !

The piano duet - from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Love it !

Sun-satur-day Stealing

A lot of work with the upcoming gigs I'm trying to book... Some good results. New contact. I think that right now everything's fine...
I really hope that all those projects will work.

But right now, I take a little minute to do the new Sunday Stealing....

The rules this week were :
Before reading the questions: Pick 5 TV Shows you like. They can be past or present.
Hint: pick shows that you are REALLY into. Hey! no peaking at the questions! List them:

1. Sons of Anarchy (no kidding !)

2. Desperate Housewives

3. Downton Abbey

4. True Blood

5. Cougar Town

1. Who is your favourite character in 2 ?
Renée ! Love love her !!! Vanessa Williams is amazing in that role ! Seriously !!

2. Who is your least favourite character in 1 ?
Hard. Cuz even the bad characters, I love them... June Stahl was incredible, such a bitch, but Ally Walker was amazing, too bad she never won an award for that role ! But if you really want someone I don't like, that may be Eli Roosevelt, the new sheriff. Maybe it's because he's new, and so we don't know what kind of Sheriff he's gonna be ...

3. What’s your favourite episode of 4 ?
Favourite episode, don't know. But favourite scene was in the last season (number 4 if my memory is good), when Sookie asks help to Alcide cuz Eric is gone in the sunlight... Eric is swimming, and Alcide turn from the werewolf to the human shape... hmmmmmmm

4. What is your favourite season of 5 ?

Only three season and no favourite... All good.

5. What’s your favourite relationship in 3 ?
Lady Sybil and Tom Brandson !

6. Who is your anti-relationship in 2 ?
Hmm... no idea...

7. How long have you watched 1 ?
Every season, and will rewatch it from the first to the last (4th) before September when they will start the 5th !

8. How did you become interested in 3 ?
I read about it on Nicole's blog, Noodles and Waffles ! I love England, I love that time of 20th Century, kinda enjoy Godsford's Park, love Maggie Smith.

9. Who is your favourite actor in 4 ?
Alexander Skasgard ?

10. Which show do you prefer 1, 2, or 5 ?
Number 1 ! Even if the shows are not really comparable !

11. Which show have you seen more episodes of 1 or 3 ?
From number one cuz it's 4 seasons of 13 episodes and number 3 only has 2 seasons right now so....

12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be ?
Hmmm... none, or maybe Jessica....

13. How would you kill off any character in 5 ?
I kill nobody from number 5 ! Too bad, cuz I'd love to kill some characters in number 1, 2 and 3 !!!!

14. Would a 3/4 crossover work ?

No.

15. Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple.
Ima with Juice. I think that may be really interesting, cuz Ima is hated by Jax and Ope, but she may be important for the club by the fact that she's a porn star and know people in it that may do some business with the club. And interesting to Juice cuz after all the things he's been through in season 4, he deserves something good ! Plus, they may be a really hot couple !

16. Overall, which show has the better cast, 3 or 5 ?
It's not the same at all, both cast are incredible !!!

Maybe the order of my series was not the best one but, rules were to pick the series before reading the questions.... So....

Sunday Stealing...

Ok, I'm terribly tired ! Didn't sleep enough, and had a bad sleep...

I went printing some poster yesterday afternoon.
To be honest, I really enjoyed what I did for Gary's poster, and seeing it for real, well, I really enjoyed it. I also printed Josh's one. I was a little bit afraid because as you know, I spent a lot of time on it, because I needed to do one for the German Tour, plus another one for his next gig in London, and one for the gig in Paris.
German tour's poster, almost 30 versions. September's poster was easier. Paris' one, well I changed some details because I had some ideas and wanted to do it following the ideas I didn't have for the two others. Of course, my version wasn't the good one, and I don't know, maybe because I wasn't feeling good and because I spent so many hours on it, I didn't appreciate the fact I had to change it again. It's like it's not my work anymore.
Anyway, I changed what I had to change and went to print it because I have to bring it to the venue next week.

When the girl showed it to me, I smiled thinking that maybe it was not that bad...

I didn't know it will be so hard to do a poster.

After that, I left home to pick Davide at the airport. We went to the venue and the gig was great. People were there, I think that if the venue helped us, we could have more people, but, at least people were there.

After the gig, I met Julie in Paris. She was with two friends. We laughed about crazy and stupid things, as usual. We went to Châtelet were we met guys who needed girls to enter in a club (some bars and clubs in Paris say that if there is too many guys who want to enter, they have to enter with a girl. If they are just boys, they can't come in). They were nice, we joked, and I decided inside the club that it was time for me to go back home.

Outside, before entering, we talked and laughed a lot. But, one of them, who's in Med. School, made a joke about Cancers, and said that him, as a future doctor, he has to learn to laugh about it, or he won't be able to be a good and strong doctor. I didn't answer or laugh at this moment. I guess that, I'm not ready to laugh about it.
Last time we heard about my Great-Aunt, Pierrot told us the doctor said that she still has between two weeks and two months to live. It was almost two weeks ago. You know that, everytime the phone rings at home I'm scared. Because I'm usually the one who picks up the phone.

Inside the club, I realize that, clubs and discotheques are not my stuff. I'm a pub and gig girl. Drinks were expensive and not that good. I left. Spent 30 minutes on the phone, walking, checking taxis to come back home.

I was finally in my bed at 3:00AM.

I didn't sleep well. Don't know why. Maybe that I'm more and more exited about tomorrow. I have to be at Roissy - Charles de Gaulle at 11:30 tomorrow morning. And before that, I have to check everything, do my bag, and trying to not being stressed.

Anyway. It's sunday.

1) Who is the last person you high-fived ?
I think it's was Pauline, because our muffins and cupcakes were awesome !

2) If you were drafted into a war, would you survive ?
Hum... probably not.

3) Do you sleep with the TV on ?
Nope.

4) Have you ever drunk milk straight out of the carton ?
Nope, because it's not carton but plastic bottle, and because I don't drink milk. I know, it's bad.

5) Have you ever won a spelling bee ?
Never cuz, we don't do spelling bee in France.

6) Have you ever been stung by a bee ?
Never

7) How fast can you type ?
Very fast, I use all my fingers and watch the screen, so...

8) Are you afraid of the dark ?
Not anymore.

9) Eye color:
Blue with a little bit of grey.

10) Have you ever made out at a drive-in ?
Never, no drive-in in France...

11) When was the last time you chose a bath over a shower ?
When we came back from holidays and that I finished the october tour's poster. I spent a hour in a very hot bath. Heaven !

12) Do you knock on wood ?
Well, yes, but it doesn't change anything !

13) Do you floss daily ?
Hum, no.

15) Can you hula hoop ?
Hell no. Always sucked at it !

16) Are you good at keeping secrets ?
Now, yes.

17) What do you want for Christmas ?
Well... I think that what I want, what I really want, I won't have it for Christmas. I think it's impossible.

18) Do you know the Muffin Man ?
Hum, no, sorry !

19) Do you talk in your sleep ?

Already answered to that question ! Here ...

20) Who wrote the book of love ?
I know a song called The Book of Love, and I think that it's Peter Gabriel. The song was in one of Scrubs' season final. I cried.

Now it's almost 13:00, time for a shower and lunch (and nap)

samedi 3 septembre 2011

Tuesday is almost there !!

OMG, I think that I'm waiting for that day since late November, or December !

On Tuesday ...

... the Sons will be back !!! Out of jail, and ready to kick some ass !!!

Because the creators of the serie are unbelievable, they offered to fans the 5 first minutes of the 90' season premiere... Of course I watched it, and of course, I can't wait for the episode, and new season !

And because they really rock, they choose a great song to begin the episode ! God, that must be awesome to work with them !!!!

Coal War - by Joshua James
(he opened also the Season 3...)

Now, time for diner !

The new crush !

We met in Narnia, he made me cry in England, and teach me how to be me in the USA.

I'm a big fan of X-men since ever, even if I never read the comics. I've always been fascinated by the story and the meaning of the characters (and, I have to admit that it's the same for all the Marvels' comics. If I write a new thesis, maybe I will write it about the sociology of Marvels' comics !)

I don't know why, I didn't see the movies in cinema. One night, there was the first one on TV, watched a little bit and loved it (ok, it was IMPOSSIBLE to not love the movie cuz the part was when Wolverine wakes up in the mansion, that he doesn't know where he is and that he tries to leave half naked. OMG).
I rent the movie, loved it, rent the second one, loved it, saw the pictures of Archangel for the third one and loved the movie in cinemas.

Schedule made that I didn't have the occasion to see Wolverine in cinema. So, I waited for the DVD, and I really really enjoyed the movie.

Few months ago, I read about the new movie and loved the idea. Check the casting and said that NO I won't miss the movie !

I went tonight with my little brother, and, sorry to say that my new mission on Earth is to marry James McAvoy !!!

I first saw him in Narnia, and thought he was really sweet.

I saw him in Becoming Jane, and was soooo in love !
Saw it and cried sooooo much with Atonement.
And even if, tonight this blue and yellow suit fits him very very good, my favourite movie with him is Penelope.

Because, of course, he's (censored) on those pictures, ...

but... did you ever hear him sing You Are My Sunshine ?

I think that Penelope is my favourite movie with him.
It's a beautiful story, and wonderful actors. Love love it !!
Plus, he's Scottish, and you know how much I love Scottish accent !!

(talking about Scottish accent, the other day, I was watching Charlie's Angels Full Throttle, Tommy Flanagan has a small play in it, I was crazy everytime he was saying something !! God I love his accent ! He reminds me Gary and my boys all the time !! here, from 1:30 to 2:35...)

Time to sleep now !

xx

One of the best movie ever !

When I say to my friends that I'd love to move to the UK, they usually answer
"Why ?"
Ok, the weather is not that good, and the food, compared to the french one, may be one of the worst I ever ate ! But whatever.

I went to the UK few times. I love London, such a magical city. Leeds seems very nice too (sorry, I only saw the train station), Bradford is cute, and so is Harrogate.
Edinburgh is awesome and I know that I want to come back to Glasgow.
And... I loved Ireland.

But, UK is not just geography. I love british accent, and most of all, I love british humour.

My english teacher were not so good during my almost 10 years of english. And, I don't know why, they were showing us only one movie : Dead Poet's Society.
I love that movie, but, every time I watching it, it's like I was back to school.

One of my friend watched Monty Python and Holy Grail. I was soooo jealous. And when she said she didn't like the movie because it was not funny, I thought "OMG!!"

For me, this movie is one of the best movie ever. I know it by heart, but always laugh every second !!!

Yesterday was the closing of Cannes Festival, and I was happy to see that Ryan Gosling new movie won an award. So, I was joking with my friend Pauline about him, and I was supposed to watch one of his movie last night. Impossible to choose. So I decide I will watch The Notebook tonight.
Unfortunately, my dear Maggie chose to post the scene of the Knights of the Ni on Facebook.
So, I changed my mind and watched Holy Grail tonight, laughing, as usual !!!

Here is a gift for you. My two favourite moments in the movie !!!

  98. Hamlet - William Shakespeare : few months ago, my parents made me watch the old movie, the one with Laurence Olivier ! "Bad Mistake !!" I saw Last Action Hero just before... and so... I was like Dany Madigan, seeing Jack Slater everywhere...
  99. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Roald Dahl
  100.  Les Miserables - Victor Hugo : hum... NO !

11 books from the list of the BBC...
The BBC posted that list saying that they were sure that most people will have read only 6 of them ! Sorry BBC, I won !

But 11/100 is ... well... not a very good score. I'll try to read some of them during this year ! And, even if French literature is my N°30, I won't give a second chance to Alexandre Dumas ! Maybe Victor Hugo or Emile Zola, but... I'm not sure ! ;-)

December 31...

Christmas is over. Really. You know why ?

My 25.12.2010 bruise is almost gone !!

His FAULT !!!
On Christmas day, I stand up to say goodbye to my grand parents and hit the wood of the sofa. 15 seconds later, an enormous bruise was appearing on my thigh !! Ouch !
And now, it's almost gone. So Christmas is over.

Tonight is New Year's Eve. I never celebrate it. Really.
My parents are with some friends 200 km from Versailles, my little brother is having a party with friends in Paris. I will be alone at home and is enjoying it.
In a minute, I will go down to the kitchen to cook some muffins (didn't choose yet), and then, PJ and some movies. It's gonna be a great evening.
I just need to choose which muffin I will cook. I want some chocolate ones :
- double chocolate (I mean, chocolate and chocolate chips)
- chocolate / banana
- chocolate / coconut...
...
A little bit of the three !!

And finally.
I saw this video on MTV.

I like Daniel Radcliffe's 7... (especially the last one !)
What about you ?

Happy new Year to all my readers and followers, thank you for this great year !
2010 was a great year full of surprises, can't wait to meet 2011 !!

Crazy Heart

I love movies about music.

In January, when they announced the nominees for the Oscars (& Co), I didn't heard about Crazy Heart.
I read the summary, saw that it was Jeff Bridges, about a musician, lost, with a lot of problems.
I saw that Jeff Bridges won the Oscar, and the Music too. I listened to the song, and thought it was a beautiful song.

And, no time to see the movie in theatre.

Because it was in January, the DVD was release few weeks ago (in France, we have to wait 6 months between theatre and DVD). Mum suggested to buy the DVD, because my Dad loves Jeff Bridges, and because we knew he will like it.

We watched it tonight, and Dad told us he wanted to buy it, because he heard it was a beautiful movie and that Jeff Bridges was brilliant in it.

It was awesome !!! A beautiful movie, and an amazing soundtrack. Jeff Bridges has a beautiful voice, Maggie Gyllenhaal is a beautiful actress, and for once, Colin Farrell is perfect (I like him, but honestly, for me he is a bad actor except : Cassandra's Dream, In Bruges, and Crazy Heart)

So, if you never see Crazy Heart, watch it, and tell me what you think !

Sons Of Anarchy

Yesterday was the season premiere of Sons of Anarchy.

I learned, this Summer, that a part of the new season took place in Ireland, in Ulster. Funny, I was in Ireland this Summer, but not in Ulster, not enough time !

I hope I'll be able to watch it this afternoon !

(500) days of Summer

I wanted to see this movie when it was out in theatre.
Unfortunately, we never have that kind of movie in my cinema ...

The other day, I found the DVD, it was a sale, 10 euros (usual, in France, a DVD is around 19 or more ...). Without a hesitation, I took it.

I chose to watch it tonight, and I LOVED it !!

Zooey Desachannel is absolutely wonderful, and Joseph Gordon Lewis ... well ... I love him everytime I see him in a movie !

Other DVD that I bought without seeing the movie :
Brothers Bloom (Adrien Brody, Rachel Weisz and Mark Ruffalo) - very nice
Coffee And Cigarettes (by Jom Marmusch) - haven't watch it yet
Control (about Ian Curtis) - haven't watch it yet
Rock'n'Rolla (by Guy Ritchie) - ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL (but it's because I love Guy Ritchie !! My favourite is still Lock, Stock and Two Smockin' Barrels !!!!)
Sunshine Cleaning (Emily Blunt and Amy Adams) - a beautiful movie with beautiful actress !!
The Princess and The Frog - LOVE IT !!

Little video for you, if you haven't see the movie, watch it !!

Le Grand Détournement - La Classe Américaine

I have a lot of things to do, like spending my entire afternoon with my lovely Photoshop for my Mum ... But, for the moment, I'm trying to convert a video with iMovie, and it doesn't work ! Grr !!

The movie is an old movie made by the comic actors and actress of Canal + (one of our French TV channel).

The concept is this one.
The movie was made in 1993 for the 70th anniversary of Warner Bros. The two directors choose something like 50 movies from Warner Bros, extract little sketches, put them together and dubbed with new lines to create a new movie. It's hilarious !!!!

The story is this one.
After a crazy announcement "Attention, this flim is not a flim about cyclign. Thank you for your undersating !" we assist to the death of George Abitbol (John Wayne), the classiest man in the world.
Two reporters, Peter (Dustin Hoffman) and Steven (Robert Redford), with the help of Dave (Paul Newman) investigate his death meeting the people he met in Texas, when he was a Cow-boy.

Movies are All The President's Men, Band of Angels, Bloody Alley, Bullitt, The Candidate, Chisum, The Cowboys, The Crimson Pirate, When Time Ran Out ... I never saw those original movies, and I think that it will be very strange to see them without seeing this one !

Here are two extracts, the best for me !

The Pin's

Jacques - I went to see my friend Dino ... (remember) Ooooh Dino, my dear friend. What did happen to you ? You don't look good, why are you so baddddd ???? You, the one who use to write so beautiful letters !
Dino - Everything's bad ! I don't want to eat or drink anymore. Don't want to comb my hair anymore. I'm nervous breakdown ! Oh, and fuck, don't want to wash anymore !
Jacques - Oh don't tell me it's because of Georges !
Dino - Georges ? Oh you don't know about it ! He became unbearable !
Jacques - It's not a reason to stop washing your cheeks ! Are you crazy or something ???!!! Stop that !
Dino - You know what I stop ? It's pin's dude ! I don't like it anymore !
Jacques - Oh, you know that you look pitiful ??!! Because, to stop your collec' (collection) of pin's ... D'you mind if I look at this one ..? Sheraf ? Doesn't know. Because, I can boast my own collection, it's been a while I'm working on it, and it's not nothing (sorry, I don't know how to translate it ! Not a crappy collection, maybe) But, I don't know this one, Sheraf...
Dino - Sheraf ? You don't know Sheraf ? It was a band, they were number one !
Jacques - It's not the reason to be pitiful and look like a wimp !
Dino - Look at my hand ! Shitty thing !! Look ! I fucked up my hands with this stupid collection !!!
Jacques - Ok, well, I'm gonna leave now ... Thank you for the pin's and don't worry, everything is gonna be ok soon !

The French Fries

Indians - Hi Hugues
Indians - Hugues hi !
Hugues - Hi guys, I'm happy to see you. I was in the neighbourhood and thought it will be nice to visit you, except if you want me to leave.
Indian Chief - No, you can stay. No problem !! I'm happy to see you here, and I would like you to stay here. You know what ? We're gonna eat french fries. Heard me ? FRENCH FRIES !! Is that all the effect it has on you when I tell you that we're eating French Fries ? What's wrong with you ? Why are you not answering, you sulk or something ?
Hugues - You remind me Georges, politically.
Indian Chief - Georges ? Why Georges ? I'm not like him at all, because if we think about it, I'm a real democrat, George is a shitty fascist guy, a SHITTY FASCIST GUY !!!
Hugues - Yeah, that's right. As much for me !

Dave - Oh and what did happen to that Indian Chief ?
Hugues - After that, he was a Righter of Wrongs in the city. We found him murdered one day, he died after it.

Did you see the synchronisation between the French words and the lips of Charles Bronson ? PERFECT !!

Because of the copyrights, they never edited the movie in VHS (1993) or now DVD ! But nice people put the movie on the Internet !!

Day 11 : A Deceased Person

This letter, 11rst is a hard one...
A deceased person ??

May I say that I'm a "lucky" person who has not a lot of deceased person around me ?
I mean, I still have my four grand parents ... And I think that if I was writing a letter or was wishing meeting a deceased person, I'd pick somebody in my family ...

Today I would like to write to my Great grand father, from my Mum. He was my Grand Pa's Dad, and talk shortly about him here.

Dear Tété,

We never met because you died when Mum was a child. But she talked about you, so did Grand Pa, and my Grand Uncles and Aunts.

They said you were a brave man, a straight one. The one who wanted to help his family, and do his duty as a French Soldier during the Wars.

I love that story everybody tells. The army wanted to give you the Legion of Honour, and you said no.

Mum told you were very stubborn. Really ? So, I guess we all inherit this !

I never had the chance to meet you. And I barely new your wife, my Great Grand Ma, because she died when I was 5 or 6, so I don't remember a lot of things about her.
What I know is that Mum loved all those days spent with you too, she enjoyed growing up with you.

Thank you for that, because, I think she gave us a little bit of this !

xx

PS : sorry I have no photo for this letter ! If I find one, I'll post it ! (update .... Two photos, his military bracelet ...)
PS : I just come back from the cinema with my Mum, Dad and Brother. Wild Target is a wonderful movie !! I love Bill Nighy !! And Emily Blunt is so sweet ! (have you seen her clothes in the movie ??? I want the same !!! Especially her white dress, red tights and shoes !!!
