I'm still alive... but...

Sorry, I disappeared from the blogosphere ... I've been sooooo busy !!!

On Monday, I was "closing" Gary's tour's file ! Two gigs booked, posters done, event created and invitations almost sent... I just needed news from the supporting band for the second night. 

On a email, Gary told me that the gig he had the thursday night in Glasgow was cancelled, so he was able to play a third night in France... I reopened the filed to try to find a third gig...

The same day, I was dealing for Josh's tour... The Monday night, I had the last confirmation from the venue : Josh Beech and the Johns live @ l'International (Paris) on October 11th ! Only one gig. Wonderful, but soooooo sad for me ! Because it's so many hours of work for just few hours with the boys ! 

On Tuesday, Jack was supposed to send me pictures for the poster... The morning, nothing, it let me checking what I had...

Problem is that I don't have a lot of good pictures of Josh, and for posters, you have to use pictures in high definition : the pictures I like are in very very bad definitions. The only one I have in high def is the one I used last time... And I don't want to use it !

The afternoon, Jack sent me all the details I needed for the posters, and pictures from Sofi de la Torre who's touring with Josh in October. I was able to create the first version.

On Wednesday, I sent the version I made to Jack, and it was the beginning of the end ! I turned off my laptop at 01:00AM, after 13 versions of the poster ! No inspiration for me, and no idea for him... Bad pictures, sooo hard. We tried a lot of things, had a good moment on Skype, but no poster.

On Thursday morning, I had a job interview in Paris for a hugeeeee promoter. Somebody in the team is quitting soon, and so, in September they will be looking for somebody. Because I applied for another job, they have my résumé. Because I really need a job, I sent it again. I met the guy Thursday morning, and it was wonderful. I have to call them back in September. And I will, because, as you know, I have gigs in September, and the gigs help me to meet people, soooo....

Thursday afternoon, I was back on Photoshop. Sent other versions to Jack. And, late afternoon, he told me that finally, his favourite was the 4th one. He sent it to Sofi's manager, and later, I left home for a girls' night with Pauline. 

Her birthday is on August 5th, middle of holidays, and because she will turn 25, I choose a crazy gift, because it's Pauline. But, sorry, it's sooo crazy that I won't tell you what it is; the only clue I can give you is that there are 2 awful CDs, one teenage book and a good one with wonderful recipes for cupcakes/muffins/cookies.... !!

I went back home around 3:00AM after a crazy night. Julie came later during the evening, we spent 2 or 3 hours gossiping about boys like we were 14 !! It was wonderful, and both told me "what are you waiting for, you have to date him !" Thank you girls !!

On Friday, the day was hard ! It was the last day of "work". I sent the last invitations for Josh's gig, and middle of the afternoon Jack sent me an email "do you think you can try 2 or 3 other versions of the poster, cuz the manager is not sure about it." Of course, Jack left early that day for his well-deserved-holidays, he has no internet, I don't know what the manager doesn't like in the poster, I was terribly tired, and a little bit angry because of the email. The deadline for the poster was supposed to be August 15th, I said no cuz I'm in holidays until August 18th, I'm in Italy for a crazy trip, and I don't want to take my laptop with me. Jack suggested August 18th, and then August 20th.

He will come back before me, and I think that I may leave with a copy of the files on a USB card, just in case...

Today is week-end. I enjoyed waking up late, take my time for the breakfast and book. Now it's 19:48, I'm trying to think about my luggages. We are leaving on Monday morning for 18 days in Italy : Aoste, Lake Guarda and Venice. We're gonna see sooooo many things !!! I can't wait ! 

Because the sun and summer weather are back today, I went biking in Versailles' Park, I'm back since an hour, but I'm sooooo tired !!!

Well... You know my friends Charlotte and Pauline. We can have crazy games. The last one was to create fake facebooks (ok, sometimes we're nuts, I admit it). My fake one is a girl name Beverly Colline. Many hours later, I realized I made a joke in the name, cuz Colline is the french word for Hills. Anyway. 

Beverly Colline likes, no, loves, hot men, and right now, she has around 10 husbands. Her favourite is still Juice from SOA (not Theo Rossi, but yes, his character !) And so, all her husbands are the actors (and musicians) I love cuz I think they are hot.

I booked the gigs, but still can't believe it's happening !! 

A year ! It's been a year since last time I saw this crazy guy !

Poster time today to create this two posters, and, of course, poster time tomorrow for Josh's tour... I don't know if I have to laugh or cry... Maybe both ! 

In fact, I may cry tomorrow when I'll do Josh's posters, (yes, I can say posters, cuz, I know there will be millions of versions !!) because, I don't know why, my Photoshop and my laptop don't want to cooperate... Last night, I watched the Lord of the Rings, and of course, Orlando Bloom's play made me laugh ! I'm so sad, Legolas is a wonderful character in the books, in the movie, he seems to be the stupid blond guy !

I was about cooking dinner...

In 2006, I had my Thesis' viva, and went to NYC for New Year's Eve. It was awesome !

First of all, I feel so much better today ! Maybe it's because I have solutions for all the gig-problems I had until now... I'm too much, too easily stressed ! I should be careful !

It's 16:36... Few minutes ago, Jack asked me a favour... Don't know why, I'm always scared when he asks me a favour... I should have guessed it before asking him "what can I do for you ?"

Josh is on tour in October, and visibly, Jack doesn't know how to use Photoshop or Illustrator or inDesign ! (ok, I don't use Illustrator, it will be my summer-holidays-homeworks !)

Last time I made a poster, I spent ... I don't know how long I spent on it, but, what I know is that I lost my eyes ! Hours and hours later, when I thought the torture was over, he asked me if I could create one for the charity event he was organizing with Erika.

Since that day, he's supposed to buy me new eyes. I'm still waiting. And this afternoon, when he asked it, he promised me that I won't be blind again. Liar !!!

So, I'm gonna think about a new poster for Josh's German tour !

Yesterday, my mum told me she needed to call the ORL for a checkup. I don't know what I was thinking when I said "yes, I should call too.". She called yesterday afternoon, and meeting this afternoon... I'm scared. I went once when I was a kid, it was another doctor. Kid, I had to see the ORL cuz I had a blockage due to ear wax. He took it off, but did it so badly that I was suffering !!!!! Awful ! Never went back to that kind of doctor !

Crash this Train / Always on my mind

I'm tired, I'm sad, I'm everything you want.

I'm booking two artists in the same time, need answers before tomorrow, and well, it's hard.

This morning, I finished reading my MIDEM Guide (an old one... because I went there in 2009), and now, I have a million names to contact, France, and outside France. Tomorrow, I will try to write some new letters.

Coming back home, I wanted to do nothing. It was like I was not enjoying my job anymore. And ok, being far away from everybody sucks ! God, I need to leave Paris !!!!!! 

I finally motivated myself to work (ok, cuz somebody asked me three times if I had news about Paris...) and got a little hope... the hope gave me jokes, and jokes convinced me that it will be impossible for me to leave them ! I couldn't survive !  God, I hate my boys !

I need ...

a confession, I think !

This week may be the last working week before the annual holidays. So, from today til Wednesday, I have to finish Gary's tour and book a gig for Josh in Paris for October.

But, you know what... I feel like I don't want to do it now. 

I created my company in November. Since, I booked 9 gigs, had to cancel two. I won around 100 euros. Lost, well, I don't know, don't want to count.

On Monday morning, one of my Junior High friends called me. Since she graduated (around a year ago), she applied to a lot of job offers, had a lot of interviews, and is still unemployed. She called me Monday to tell me she has an interview today, in Lyon. This time it may be the good one, cuz it's a guy from her school, he needs a coworker. 

Since the call, I'm thinking about leaving Paris.

I thought 2011 will be a good year cuz it started so well. I had finally my driving licence, got a job, a lot of wonderful people around me, everything. And then, April. Lost my job, had to cancel gigs, and started questioning about myself and the people around me.

I'm suffocating in Paris. 

Yesterday, I spend the day re-writing covered letters, printing résumé, stamping envelopes (is stamping a word ?).

A Joker's Rage was supposed to come back in Paris in September. Ilo and I had to cancel the gig cuz the band is changing. Ilo told me that early June. They were supposed to play in York on June 18th and I wanted to go (it was before I start booking for the Fête de la Musique), the festival was cancelled and re-booked (it's in August I think). And they were supposed to play in Glasgow. But, Zakk was sick, the gig was cancelled.

A Joker's Rage was my first band, my first deal. And learning that some of them are quitting and that others are coming, it's hard. 

Jack called me yesterday to talk about Josh. I was supposed to book two gigs. Finally, it will be only one. I think I spend more time calling people to say "guess what, I'm cancelling", than booking a real gig. I'm so sad, and angry.

So, maybe Gary's gigs in Paris in September will be the last in Paris.

My to do list today is, finishing Gary's bio and sending it to the venues for September, and apply to all the job offers I will find outside Paris, and Paris area. Need to move.

Sunday Stealing

It's not Sunday yet, but... it doesn't matter ! This week, the rules changed a little bit. It's not questions, but a complete the sentences challenge !

Right now I'm feeling... asleep

When I'm alone I feel... lonely, but sometimes, I enjoy being alone.

When I'm surrounded by people I feel...I don't feel, I panic. If there are too many people, I panic and feel oppressed !

When I daydream it's usually about... success in my career ! Having my own office, my own team, and have a lot of work !

One thing that really worries me is ... "what if I can't find a solution !"

If I could change one thing about myself it would be... less shy !

If I could be with anyone right now I would be with... Joker. Not answering to that question !

The family member I am closest to is... seriously ? I don't know !

If I was really honest with my father I would tell him... that I need help !

One thing I regret about my life is ... all the bad moments I had with my siblings.

If I only had one more day to live I would... go to talk to him ! And then, spend the day with friends. Not all of them, just the one I really care about and that I know they will miss me ! So, probably 10 people...

If I was really honest with my mother I would tell her... I wanted to say "that yes, I'm the one who scratched the car", but, she already knows it !

One thing about me that nobody knows is... once, I created an imaginary life to face my life and my problems. I was living in a dream. And then, I met good friends, and I realized I didn't need this imaginary life that was in my head !

I hope that someday in the future... meet my soulmate ?

When I think about my family I feel... good. My siblings have good life, my parents are alive and in a good health, my grand parents are still alive and in a good health too.

Something I'm really embarrassed about is... I'm still at home, when around me, everybody is independent !

One thing about me I never want to change is... mistakes and life I had until now !

One thing I feel really proud of is... I have wonderful people around me. Ok, I have no job or money, but, I'm still meeting a lot of people, and I know there is hope !

Blogsville has helped me to... open myself to the others and not being ashamed of who I am.

One thing I like about blogsville is... you're free to be the one you want, you're free to post what you want. I don't care of what people are thinking about my blog. It's my blog, and if I'm writing it, it's because I need it !

A.B.C on July 13th

Since few months, my Mum wants a new oven for the kitchen. She spent soooo many hours in stores to find a good one.

The guy was suppose to delivery it this afternoon... Because it's holiday tomorrow, he had a lottttt of work today, and finally came later !!!

He's installing the new one today, and I think I'll have the time to book some special cupcakes for tomorrow !

It's July 14th tomorrow, and this year, the brunch with friends is at home, so Mum and I are cooking a lot of stuff for the friends tomorrow... I just hope the sunshine will be there too ! Last year, there was so much rain during the defile !!

Anyway, I have to wait for the delivery-guy to leave before discovering the new oven and try new recipes ! (well... recipe will be easy... the hardest part, for me-because-I-always-fail is the icing !!) 

Reading the blogs, I found this ABC, I thought the idea was fun, and because I have to wait a little bit, I'm gonna do the one about me !

Sleeping until 10AM this morning was awesome. I'm tired, and I know I will have a lot of things to do (Gary's tour and... Josh's tour !!) tomorrow, so, I'm thinking about a lazyyyyyyyyy Sunday... Doing nothing, watching some movies and that's it ! No more !!

Back to the Airport...

The family week is almost over.

Mum and Dad left home 45 minutes ago with my sister to drive her back to the airport, and my brother and Cece are leaving in 15 minutes to go back to the airport ...

I think we all enjoyed the week, and it was really nice to meet Cece. 

Yesterday was Mum's birthday, she was really happy to have all her kids around her this year !

To celebrate it, we went to Versailles' Palace for the show of the year on the Grand Canal. 

This year, firework-music-and-show was about Vivaldi and Venice, and, of course, it was awesome.

I realized, yesterday evening, how much I love fireworks !! And so, I think that, this year, I will go to see the fireworks on July 13th AND July 14th (for our national day) ! Just because I love it !!! :)

First, we had to arrived at the Cour d'Honneur, and then, cross the Gardens ...

and stop by my alley... :)
