Irish Best Of

When I leave home for holidays or whatever, I love to find something that brings me back to my friends or family !
What I always loved with UK, and Ireland, is that they always have good tastes !

Enjoy !

In Dublin :

The Red Hair Pigeon. Nothing against red hair people. On the contrary, I love them. It's just that, when you arrive in Dublin and that you see a Red Hair Pigeon, you laughed, and, have a lovely though for my favourite red hair people, Charlotte and Maggie !

There's always a Charlie !
A Chinese Charlie ??!! No !!
My Charlie is French, he's crazy, he's listening to metal music, and I love him !!!

Fish is a Viking word, so I'm a Viking girl !

In Cong :

But ... I thought that the Cheeky Monkey was a beer from Leeds !!
Drank in Bradford with my babies ...

At Molly's Cottage :

Honestly, I don't know which one I'll choose ...
I photographed them and sent the picture to Bichon. It was a day after her birthday, and I was sure she will laughed with this "b-day card"
(last year, in French Britain, I found THE picture for her. A mug with an awfull Bretonne, the name above her wasn't a name, but "Bichon". Maybe Bichon is a sweet name in French Britain ... She really loved it !)

This postcard was everywhere !
Do you think that people buy it and send it ???!!!

At Dromberg Stone Circle :

The middle of nowhere, in Irish countryside. Car park of the Stone Circle, we see some cars of collections that we already saw before. We laughed. And then, I see this car with a Canadian flag.
Message to my Sister : Even if she's not with us, she's with us !

In Kinsale :

Jim.
What a long story !
Remember my looooooooong speech how I met Neil, aka Fishboy ?
Here is how I met Steven, aka Maggie.
November 2009, TIME Event. I was outside, smoking a cigarette, again, talking to I don't remember who. And I see this red hair crazy guy. He came to me and said "I love your friend, I don't know her name but everytime I call her Jim she's answering !"
...
Nice to meet you Steven.
Ilo was Jim.
Steven was Maggie.
Don't tell about Steven, I don't know who he is, for me it's Maggie, only Maggie !
So, seeing an Irish pub called Jim made me laughed (in Glasgow, I found a van called Maggie, and I laughed !)

WTF ?
Walking in the streets, we pass in front of a big hotel with a lot of international flags. UK, England, USA, Mexico (Mexico ?!) and other countries.
No French flag, but Scottish Flag ??????????
(It broke my heart because I learned before leaving for Dublin that I will have to cancel the gigs of my boys !)

At the Airport :

OMG !
You have to hate your friends to send B-day cards like this !!!
(Ok, Bichon got a copy of the doggy one, even if it's not the right dog, and Maggie - also called Giraffe by his friend - will have a copy of the giraffe one for his birthday this week-end !!)

Good !
Scottish shortbreads are the best, specially those, and not because the name is Neil ... (well, O'Neills)

  2. In fact, I love sharing things with the others.
Some things make me laugh or feel good, or bad or whatever, and so, I like to explain why. And writing down helps me to keep all my good memories !

  3. The memories you keep are those most likely to remain yours...

...But it seems you've had a wonderful journey to Ireland. I love that country, too!
Useful stones; what else a cave man (of those old ages) would have asked for?? No need to wonder why Irish people produce the most beautiful music in Europe... They had the whole eternal Time to practice to do so from ancient times...

Probably you haven't visited the west coast. There's one place with some wonderful hexagonal rock formations, like giant steps.

Who's my favorite Irish musician (???) Hmmmmm... Tough question! The Waterboys (off course!), Rory Gallagher, Enya, Clannad. NOT Sinead O'...
I think Mike Scott (Waterboys) does come from Ireland. Doesn't he?

By the way, I have to post "The Pan within". I R-E-A-L-L-Y love that particular song from This is The Sea album!
Est-ce "L' entre Faune" (?) ou "Faune interieur"? I'd like to see this translated in French...

    P.S.
Your English are worst than mine!
Here's an example: "A horrible movie", "A heinous person", but: "An hour", NOT "a hour". Liaison works for English, too (though not in written language; I mean the letters don't need to be connected in a whole...! LOL)

    See you later!

  4. WOW ! Thank you for your PS.

Maybe there are other possibility to tell other people that you made a mistake. English is not my mother tongue, and the problem in France (my opinion, and only mine) is that English lessons are pretty bad. 12 years now that I'm learning English, and I think that I learned more by myself than with a teacher.

I know that I make mistakes, and sometimes, it's because I don't read the post before publishing it. For example my "a hour", that day, I had to rewrite 3 times the same post because of Blogger problems. After my last word, I didn't want to re-read it.

Finally, "Your English are worst than mine!", I think your wrong !
But thank you for that English lesson, at 23:30 !

    'night people
