Next day, my brother and I were horse-ridding on the beach.
What was next ...
Oh yeah, Connemara ...
08.09.2010 : Walking through Connemara
There are some sheep on the road, but not so much.
During the winter, it's terrible.
Because lands are too cold, they come on the road that is hotter.
And they can stay during the entire day. In your car, you can't do nothing !
If you didn't see the sheep, and that the car hit it.
Two options:
- The sheep was a "wild" one (no fences), you have to declare it to the police and you will have to pay a fine.
- The sheep escaped his territory. The farmer will have to pay the fine, because it's its fault !
The best is having no sheep !
The Quiet Man (Cong)
Mum said that it was in this village that they shoot the movie "The Quiet Man".
Ok Mum, never heard about this movie !
The abbey was built around 1135.
This little shelter above the river hide a hole in the floor.
Through this hole, they were putting a fishing line attached to a little bell.
When the bell was ringing, they knew that one, or more, fish was capture.
After that, they just need to say to those who were working in the kitchen that the lunch / dinner will be fish !
Back to the Hotel. De Gaulle Seat.
When we booked this hotel, we didn't know that France had a history there. When we arrived there, we saw that the General de Gaulle spent few days there ! (and the funny thing is that during our 2 days there, there was also an ancient French Minister ... M. Leotard ...
Maybe he came here on pilgrimage ...
We left Connemara for the South. First stop, Clare County. Another landscape ...
Cliffs of Mohar
Paradise !!
This is the view from the restaurant

Un jour on m'a dit qu'il était impossible de prendre le soleil en photo parce que ça ne rendait rien ! Et pourtant, le contre-jour ça peut être splendide, et un coucher de soleil, c'est magique !
