The Italian Post, Part II.

So yesterday I posted you some pix from the first part of my italian trip. I still have 24h before picking Davide (aka The Niro) at the airport, and earlier today, Mum asked me if I will talk to him in Italian... Well... in few years maybe.

It's terrible because, I learned Italian in High School. I liked it, it was easy. And I lost everything after graduation. Lost it cuz I had no occasion to use Italian.
Now, two of my men are Italian, and so is one of my artists. It should help me to re-open Italian books, don't you think ?

Anyway, here are some pictures from Venezia, we stood there 5 days before leaving to Milan, and then go back home !

DAY 10 : The road to Venezia...
DAY 11 : Venezia

This old palazzo was our hotel. A beautiful hotel on the Canal Grande...

 Palazzo Ducale...

... and San Marco.... (we didn't come inside San Marco because there were sooooooo many people everyday... so, next time !)

 Pigeons... Hate them !!

 From the Rialto...

La Fenice. Absolutely wonderful !!!! Love ! Love ! Love ! (and not only because I worked with an Orchestra during 6 months !)

DAY 12 : Padova

Love this one. Pantalon in French, is trousers. In Italy, Pantalon is Saint Pantalon...

DAY13 / 15 : Venezia, Venezia, Venezia
(and Burano, Murano, and, and, and...)

Inside the Palazzo Duccale, before beginning the lonnnnngggg visit !!!

I love this one... Don't know if there is enough boards...

And this one : the seagull and the lion !

La Punta della Dogana : our big fight.
In my family, we love art.
Mum and I love old stuff, classical art ;  hate contemporary art.
Dad loves contemporary art, hates very old stuff, likes classical art.
Because the Dogana is French, Brother and I finally accepted to go. Even if, we don't like contemporary art. And OMG, what's this stupid joke ????!!! I HATE this museum ! I went once, and believe me, I will never go back there ! (ok, the building is wonderful, but I'm sorry, we can't talk about art inside...

I hate Jeff Koons, but, had fun with the red heart...

 Crossing to San Giorgio...

Inside San Giorgio, one installation for the Biennale of Venezia. It was funny. But the funniest was the fact that in the same church, the same day, my brother met his Maths teacher...

I like this one... Maybe brother will have a halo above his head one day ...

 Escape to Burano...

Torcello was the first stop

And Burano the second one

Back to Venezia... I told Mum and Dad I wanted to find this one...

... Because "X marks the spot..."

(I love Indiana Jones, and the first movie I watched back home was this one, and also Italian Job. Funny fact about Italian Job, the palazzo in the beginning, was behind our hotel. San Barnabe, from Indiana Jones was also behind our hotel ! I told you this hotel was great !!)

DAY 16 / 17 : Milano...

17 years ago, we came to Milano for the first time, when my brother was really really young... Around one y.o... It was in February, we went in Bellagio, and stopped by Milano because my Mum wanted to see the Cena by Da Vinci... We didn't, it was closed...

But we stopped in the Gallery and this is where lil brother ate his first ice cream ever. Brother, sister and I spent our time eating fragolle-con-gelato, even if it was February...

So, this year, we had to go back to the Gallery Vittorio Emanuele to eat ice cream for brother, fragolle con gelato for me ! And send the picture to brother and sister !

And this time, the Duomo wasn't under scaffolding... I went twice to Milano. The first time, the Duomo was really dark, almost black, the second time, hidden under scaffolding.
This time, it was perfect !!

DAY 18 : Back home

When we left for holidays, I was doing the poster for Josh. Jack was off to holidays, I sent him the last versions when I left, after him. I spent the summer thinking about it. No. The first days. I finally disconnect my mind. At the airport...

... ok, holidays are over... Josh was everywhere ! I watched it, laughed, brother didn't understand why I was laughing... Back home, nothing. I spent a great night. Next day, back on Photoshop and Skype for the posters. Welcome home !

Snow and mountains... We're not in Italy anymore... Hello France.
