Adèle Blanc Sec, or, Why do I LOVE Luc Besson !

Mum and I went to the cinema this afternoon.

A nice day. We both wanted to see the movie and knew that my Dad and brother won't come with us.

We saw Adèle Blanc-Sec (I'm sorry, I don't know if the movie will have an international release, and if it has, I don't know what will be the title). It's the last movie by Luc Besson.

I LOVE LUC BESSON !! No kidding. He is THE one who helped me to understand ... copyrights (at least, the French ones)

I remember, my first class about copyrights was in 2005.
The teacher (a wonderful woman !!) began her class saying
" - Is there any fans of Luc Besson here ? OK, that's cool, because after my class, maybe you will love him, or hate him !"

WELCOME !!

French copyrights are easy to understand. What are the rights of the authors, composer, interpreter, publishers, producers, ... But, because copyrights are a specific law, you need examples to understand it perfectly and never make mistakes !

Ms I-unfortunatly-forget-the-name choose to follow the CPI (Code de la Propriété Intellectuelle), you know, the big book with all the laws about the copyrights, the thing nobody can read because it's awful ! Anyway, she choose to follow the same outline, good choice.

First point ...
" - I need an example !" And that's how we discover why she asked us if we were fans of Luc Besson.
A first example with one of his movie, a second with another !

I think that Luc Besson had a trial for every movie he ever made !!

Believe me, with examples like these, I knew everything by heart ! Now when I see one of his movie I'm thinking "What trial goes with this movie !"

Last year, in Lyon, we had 3 different people to teach copyrights ! Awful ! One was saying a thing, the other contradicted or was saying exactly the same ! And no one chose to quote Luc Besson or one of his movie (normal, the master was about Music Industry !).

I was lost !

I think I love Luc Besson because thanks to him I understood copyrights (yes, I admit it, it's a strange love story), and Adèle Blanc Sec was a great movie !

Things I'd like to do again :

- Watch a paint, and think about a detailed commentary, with thought about subject, colours, light ... I love that !
I had a great teacher who said:
" - Here is the typical outline : what kind of scene, subject, who are the people, colours, lights, personal thoughts. Now you're free to write what you want, there is no good or bad answer !"

- Talk about copyrights : take, for example (no judgement) Coldplay and The Black Eyed Peas. What do they have in common ? A lot of trials about copyrights !! "You stole my melody" "No I didn't !" "You stole my song" "No I didn't"
And look at those artists who are fighting for their copyrights (I won't begin a text about Napster and Lars Ulrich because I think I can write hours and hours about it ! One day, if I have to write another thesis, it will be about Napster !)
Fascinating !

- Bring the Professeur Pomdepin (or Pom2pin) back to life and receiving a new subject twice a week from my editor in chief J.D (Mister M.)
Twice a week a was stopping by his office giving him a paper, he was giving me a new subject. It was good ! I miss that ! (especially since I lost all my archives of Professeur Pom2pin when my laptop killed itself !!)

(Jean Paul Rouve is Justin de Saint Hubert - I love this actor !!!)
