Do you like Yiddish Music ?

Tomorrow will be the first Zizic Maestro of the year.

Zizic Maestro is a concert for kids, from 5 to 10 years old.
They come to hear a piece of music explained by the musicians and two (or more) comedians.
During this play, the comedians and musicians ask to the kids to vote : do you prefer a faster version or slower, do you prefer when they play like this or like that.
In the end of the explanation, the musicians play it one more time.

The first concert of the Orchestre Lamoureux will be with Yiddish Music, so, the first Zizic Maestro will be with some Yiddish Music too.
The kids will listen to Prokofiev's Overture on Hebrew Themes.

This version (YouTube) is a little bit different to the one they will play tomorrow. But believe me, after two days of rehearsal, I can tell you that it's gonna be AWESOME !!!!

Overture on Hebrew Themes - composed by S. Prokofiev

I love the theme played by the clarinet. And, ok, our clarinettist, Anne, is amazing ! It's so wonderful to watch her play ! It must be so harddddddddd !
Listen to the 30 last seconds, I don't know if you hear it well, but the clarinet begins slowly, and finish so fast !! I couldn't breath the first time I heard it !!!!

Prokofiev will be followed by a little musical adaptation of Cousin Teresa...
The music was composed few years ago by a french compositor, Pierre Farago, and, well ... it's strange ... Some theme are amazing, others are ... strange...

And, last part of the Zizic Maestro, a little moment of sound painting. It was the first time, today, I was seeing it, and I LOVE IT !!!!

Have a look here, if you don't know what it is !!

Soundpainting

That will be tomorrow.

On Sunday, adults will here the Sirba Octect and Isabelle Georges, for some Yiddish Rhapsody.
WOW !!
I think people will adore it !

Bei Mir Bist Du Sheyn - covered by Sirba Octet & Isabelle Georges

But right now, it's time to go to bed !
Thank God, tomorrow, after the concert, it will be the week end !!!
Good night !
